Wrist Instability Surgery
Wrist instability
Wrist instability can occur as a result of significant injury to one of the main ligaments in the wrist. These injuries are often sustained during work or sporting activities. The scapholunate ligament is the most commonly injured ligament in the wrist. If ruptured and not appropriately treated the wrist can progress to developing arthritis. The correct treatment in a timely manner is critical to getting a good outcome for your wrist. Mr Powell uses all the best modern techniques available to assess your wrist (MRI scanning and wrist arthroscopy) to then help plan your treatment.
